Isometric Sketching with SPLAT!

 

Most designs are made up of combinations of basic shapes like squares, cones, cylinders and spheres. These shapes can be stretched and distorted, rounded off, have pieces cut out of them or added to them.

You are going to learn how to draw and edit shapes to create designs. You will then learn to add colour to them to make them look more realistic.

You are to use a SPLAT template to draw a cube. Look at the examples below. (click on them for bigger versions)

You are then going to shade it in using light, medium and dark tones.

Your teacher will demonstrate how to do these things.

If you have time, try to draw and render the second shape (the one with cylinders)
