Introduction   

In this course you will how to write web pages in HTML and CSS You are going to use a Coding Portal called Grok Learning to work through a number of self paced tasks. Your teacher will support you through this process and will monitor your progress on a Teacher Dashboard. They will provide help and explain things in more detail when you need it but they will also let you work at your own pace. The HTML & CSS course you are going to complete is designed for students with no prior experience of web development and covers everything necessary to get started building real websites. Along the way you will also cover many of the techniques behind good web design, so your sites are both easy to use and beautiful to look at.

 

 

Assessment

 

Assessment for this unit will be based on the progress you make on the Introduction to HTML & CSS course and through the Knowledge & Understanding you demonstrate creating your own HTML and CSS. (see Advanced Activity below)

You are to edit the html and css files linked below, to create you own Christmas Themed web page (advertising Secret Santa?). The Word file has examples of the code you have used in the Grok unit. You will probably want to make use of this to help you. Email the edited files to your teacher. If you use any additional images you will need to email them as well.
