Traffic and Weather

t

Radio Stations regularly provide Traffic and Weather updates to their listeners

w

task

As you did previously you are to write and then record two reports. This time you need to create:

1) A Traffic Report (30 seconds)

2) A Weather Report (30 seconds)

The scripts need to be written using Microsoft Word. They need to be clear and concise and each one should take about 30 seconds to read.

There are example reports on the News and Sports page.

Example

Good morning BRISBANE, it’s JENNY in the 97.3 traffic chopper brought to you by MCDONALD’S – It’s better to be stuck in traffic with a MCCAFE coffee.

The rainy weather isn’t doing any favours for the traffic on the major roads this morning.

It seems there is a three-car pile-up inbound on the PACIFIC MOTORWAY.

The Centenary Freeway is recovering from an earlier accident at the KENMORE exit.

Tow trucks are now in attendance, so it shouldn’t be long until all lanes reopen.

Watch out for speed cameras at outbound STANMORE RD EXIT at YALALA, BRYANTS RD at SHAILER PARK and BRISBANE STREET in IPSWICH.

Remember slow down in bad weather because every K over is a killer...

That’s the traffic up-to-date from the 97.3 traffic chopper.
