Database Introduction Activities

Your Teacher will use this Quick PowerPoint Activity to introduce Databases to you.

You are to work in Pairs on this Alien Database Activity.

One of you will need to download the Alien Database PDF onto their Laptop and the other one of you will need to download the Alien Database Question sheet onto theirs.

Once you have done that you need to do the following:

1) Fill in both your names at the top of the Question Sheet. Include Surnames as well!

2) Open the PDF file and Search for the Answers to the Questions, then type them in the correct boxes.

3) Email the answer sheet to your Teacher

The instructions below will show you how you can more effectively Search the PDF

If you press Ctrl + F in Adobe Acrobat a Search Box opens.

Clicking on the small down arrow lets you choose Open Full Acrobat Search

This will then open the Window shown below

Typing in a Keyword lets you search the whole document. In the example left, the word Cave was searched for (where some Aliens live!)

If you Hover over the Results, Acrobat tells you what page number that thing is on. Double click it and it will take you to that page.
